 GET A CART - Part 1

Scripture Reading: Psalms 55:22

Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

In our first look at the cart we will talk about how the cart is our burden bearer.

There have been times when I’ve gone to the grocery store intending to pick up one or two items.  I go about getting my items and notice other things that I need are on sale - can’t resist a buy one get one free sale! I try to gather my items in my arms, soon realizing that I should have gotten a cart.  I continue juggling the things from hand to hand and arm to arm, all the while thinking, “why don’t you go get a cart?”   Then I think, “no, I don’t want to go get a cart because he I don’t feel like walking to the front or outside to get one.” I continue to struggle with my items, hoping to see and abandoned cart somewhere in the store.  Aha there it is… the abandoned shopping cart.

Carefully scanning, and hoping that no one claims it before I get to it, I make the mad dash for the cart, dropping some of my items along the way, trying to pick them up but knocking something else over.  “I can pick those up after I get to the cart, but I must have that cart”.  I say to myself.

Upon reaching the cart, I unload all the items into it and take a deep breath, rub my arms and set out to finish my shopping. “Boy those things were heavy, and that milk was oh so cold!” Then it hits me - how good my arms feel having unloaded all those things into the cart.  I was carrying things around needlessly, straining myself, and damaging other merchandise. All because I didn’t want to take the time to go get a cart and let the cart carry them for me.  Can you see where I am going with this? Good.

If the world from you with-hold of its silver and its gold,

And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word,
how He feeds the little bird
Take your burdens to the Lord and leave it there.|

Matthew 11:28 (46 kb)

How many of you are carrying items, problems, and burdens needlessly? All because you don’t want to stop and take the time to pray about the situation - and turn it over to the Lord.

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.   Matthew 11:28

The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD
lifts the burdens of those bent beneath their loads.
The LORD loves the righteous. Psalms 146:8

We need to stop carrying worry, anxiety, oppression, weariness, stress, doubt, anger, unforgiveness, and failure,
and put it in the cart.  Carrying a load like that will lead to sickness, such as heart attacks, strokes, etc.  Carrying a load like that will weigh you down, and separate you from those who love you and can help you. Then loneliness sets in and it brings the spirit of depression and possibly suicide with it.  God doesn’t want you to have to carry that around.   The enemy gave those items to you.  Some of you even allowed him to give you his buy one get two free specials.  What does that mean?  Well, when you picked up unforgiveness (you know when you couldn’t forgive that person who ticked you off), the enemy threw in his unforgiveness special.  Which were, unforgiveness, bitterness, and hatred.  His buy one get two free special.  Heavy items huh?  Well, dump them, they’re damaged goods and you don’t have to settle for any of his mess.  Go get a cart, place all of your troubles in it and turn them over to the Lord.

If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel,
He can save and He can heal
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it the
re.

Once you put your burdens in the cart, God will place in your arms love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, faithful, and self-control.  His yoke is so light you won’t even know you are carrying it around.

   Matthew 11:30 (24k)

Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give
you is light." Matthew 11:29–30

You will feel so good after taking His yoke upon you that you will begin to take someone with you to get a cart. Then they will take someone, and so on and so on. Before you know it there are shopping carts all over the parking lot (Heaven) and God will send the Angels out to bring in more carts to supply the needs of His people.  Go get a cart!!!!!

 Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there;
If you trust and never doubt,
He will surely bring you out
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you..." Psalm 55:22

Never try to carry tomorrow's burdens with today's grace.

What A Friend We Have In Jesus

What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and grieves to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!

Heaven's Grocery Store

As I was walking down life's highway many years ago
I came upon a sign that read Heavens Grocery Store.

When I got a little closer the doors swung open wide and when I came to myself I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels. They were standing everywhere one handed me a basket and said "
My child shop with care."

Everything a human needed was in that grocery store And what you could not carry you could come back for more First I got some Patience. Love was in that same row. Further down was Understanding, you need that everywhere you go. I got a box or two of Wisdom and Faith a bag or two. And Charity of course I would need some of that too.  I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost, He was all over the place. And then some Strength and Courage to help me run this race.

My basket was getting full but I remembered I needed Grace, and then I chose Salvation for Salvation was for free. I tried to get enough of that to do for you and me.

Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill, for I thought I had everything to do the Masters will. As I went up the aisle I saw Prayer and put that in, for I knew when I stepped outside I would run into sin. Peace and Joy were plentiful, the last things on the shelf. Song and Praise were hanging near so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the angel! "Now how much do I owe?" He smiled and said, "Just take them everywhere you go." Again I asked "Really now, How much do I owe?" "My child" he said, "God paid your bill  a long long time ago."

COMMIT THY WORKS

Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established

Commit thy works unto the Lord.  Take God into partnership and your plans will succeed.
God wants you to succeed, He wants you to be the head and not the tail.
t is His desire that His children prosper.

He wants to move in your life, He can only do that if you commit your works unto Him.
If you cast your cares unto Him. There is no problem He can't solve, no situation that He can't see.
Commit your works unto Him.

Let Him be your CEO, your Chairman of the Board, commit to Him and watch Him move.

Watch your healing come through, watch your finances turn around, watch your loved one come home,
watch God do the impossible in your life.

Commit, get out of His way, Let the Lord come in.
Commit, and He will move.

Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success."

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

Recipe For Life

A life without Christ is a recipe for emptiness and disaster.
The recipe for life is given to us in The Bible.  It consists of God’s Forgiveness, His Grace, and His Mercy.
The ingredient for real life, eternal life, is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Take a half-cup of sorrow and pour it right on in,
Then mix with it sixteen ounces of ordinary sin.
Carefully measure out two tablespoons of tears,
Just for taste, throw in a couple dashes of fear.
Mix it all together and you have the dough,
with which we start,
Get ready now the next ingredients are the very best part.
Throw in a pound of grace,  for it removes the bitterness of the sin,
Interestingly enough, it turns the whole mixture white within.
Now add two cups of mercy and a whole pound of love,
Remember those two are stored in the cupboard up above.

Now let the dough rest in the mercy and grace,

It will rise after three days, now filling up the place.

The sin, tears, and sorrow now seem to disappear,

In fact, there is just a hint of the taste of the fear.

The taste of the grace is amazing, you will see,

The mercy is so filling after just bites two or three.

The grace and mercy together form a filling of peace,

The taste of which you’ll wish would never cease.

Now the recipe is best shared with others everyday,

It’s to be savored with a warm cup of joy all along the way.
