GET A CART - PART 2

Now let’s look at what to do when you get the cart

Scripture Reading:  Ephesians 3:20  “Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us,
he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope”

When you were carrying things in your hands, you put limitations on the Lord.  There have been times when shopping I had to bypass items that I really wanted because I was limited to what I could carry in my hands. Often times I have thought to myself, I should have gotten a cart.  But once I got a cart, there was no limit to what I could have put in it - (provided my money was right).

Sometimes along life’s journey, we stopped believing God for the impossible, and started trusting God only for the basic things in life, like: get us through the day, give us food to eat, clothes to wear, and so forth and so on. There are some things in life that require us to step out on faith and believe the impossible for, to trust the Lord and try Him.  But after looking over the situation, we decide to stick to the basics and settle for less than what we want.
There are some things that we don’t even consider asking God for and trusting Him for because it’s beyond what we are used to. We miss out on some awesome experiences with God simply because we are not willing to branch out beyond the basics.

WHAT HAS THE ENEMY STOLEN FROM YOU?

John 16:24 (NLT) You haven't done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.

Lord is saying to us that we haven’t asked for what we needed in His Name.  Is this true?  He is asking us to use His name to receive all that we need.  He desires that we have abundant joy in our lives.  Are we going to disappoint the Lord?  I hope not.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly

Have we allowed the enemy to not only steal our material things, but our faith also?   Has he beaten us down so that we are afraid to believe God for the impossible?  Have set backs in our lives caused us to say that God won’t provide?  Let’s stop right now and commit today to believing God beyond the basics, so our relationship with Him, our experiences with Him and our testimonies of Him can move beyond the basics.

Ephesians 3:17 And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.

  Romans 15:13

Now this means that we are going to trust God to do more than we could ever ask.  He is asking us to THINK BIG! With God being an awesome God, we should expect awesome and great things. With God being a wonderful God, you guessed it, we should expect wonderful things. We should not approach life with ‘our hands’; limiting God as to what He can do for us. But we should always get a cart.

THE CONTEST ON MOUNT CARMEL

Remember the story of Elijah and the contest on Mount Carmel?  It would have been easy for Elijah to simply ask the Lord to send down fire and consume the offering, but look at what Elijah did.

Scripture Reading Elijah 18:21-38:

Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, "How long are you going to waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!" But the people were completely silent. Then Elijah said to them, "I am the only prophet of the LORD who is left, but Baal has 450 prophets.

Now bring two bulls. The prophets of Baal may choose whichever one they wish and cut it into pieces and lay it on the wood of their altar, but without setting fire to it. I will prepare the other bull and lay it on the wood on the altar, but not set fire to it. Then call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the LORD. The god who answers by setting fire to the wood is the true God!" And all the people agreed. Then Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, "You go first, for there are many of you. Choose one of the bulls and prepare it and call on the name of your god. But do not set fire to the wood."

So they prepared one of the bulls and placed it on the altar. Then they called on the name of Baal all morning, shouting, "O Baal, answer us!" But there was no reply of any kind. Then they danced wildly around the altar they had made. About noontime Elijah began mocking them. "You'll have to shout louder," he scoffed, "for surely he is a god! Perhaps he is deep in thought, or he is relieving himself. Or maybe he is away on a trip, or he is asleep and needs to be wakened!" So they shouted louder, and following their normal custom, they cut themselves with knives and swords until the blood gushed out. They raved all afternoon until the time of the evening sacrifice, but still there was no reply, no voice, no answer.

Then Elijah called to the people, "Come over here!" They all crowded around him as he repaired the
altar of the LORD that had been torn down. He took twelve stones, one to represent each of the tribes of Israel, and he used the stones to rebuild the LORD's altar. Then he dug a trench around the altar large enough to hold about three gallons.  He piled wood on the altar, cut the bull into pieces, and laid the pieces on the wood. Then he said, "Fill four large jars with water, and pour the water over the offering and the wood." After they had done this, he said, "Do the same thing again!" And when they were finished, he said, "Now do it a third time!" So they did as he said, and the water ran around the altar and even overflowed the trench.

At the customary time for offering the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet walked up to the altar and prayed, "O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, prove today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant. Prove that I have done all this at your command.
O LORD, answer me! Answer me so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God and that you have brought them back to yourself." Immediately the fire of the LORD flashed down from heaven and burned up the young bull, the wood, the stones, and the dust
. It even licked up all the water in the ditch!

Elijah believed beyond the shadow of a doubt that God could not only perform the basics and send fire to consume the offering; Elijah believed beyond the basic and believed that God could and would send fire to consume the water soaked offering… And He did!!!!   He challenged God to perform what was impossible for man, but possible for God.  GO Get a CART!

When you get a cart, you believe and expect God to fill you up with a peace that surpasses  all understanding.  When you get a cart, you believe and expect God to fill you up with an unspeakable joy. When you get a cart, you are believe and expect God to bless your relationships, your jobs, your finances, and to make impossible the possible.  When you get a cart, you believe and expect God to open up the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing that you won’t have room enough to receive! Don’t put a limit on God and miss out on what God can do in your life. GO get  a CART!!

Let me leave you with this thought... When you go to Sam's or Costco's would you go in with just your hands, or would you get a cart?  My God is bigger than any Sam's, Costco's, or wholesale warehouse you can imagine.

Stand and believe that God can and will give you more than you can believe Him for. Challenge the Lord to fill your cart!!!

 WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT:

DO NOT LIMIT ME

My children do not limit Me through doubt and unbelief of what I have promised, for what I have promised shall not return void, but it shall accomplish what it was sent to do. Yes some of my people have held back in their prayers not pouring out their full supplication before Me for fear that I will not answer them. Let it be known to you that I have heard your prayers from the first day you uttered the words yet Beloved, I do not always answer the way you expect, for indeed My ways are higher than yours.

I AM the Alpha and the Omega. I am the Bright and Morning Star.

Be not anxious for anything, but ask in faith, believing that you shall receive according to your faith. Faith will only arise as you hear the Word and allow it to take root in your hearts. For without faith it is impossible to please Me. Now is the time to lay aside all weights, and the sin, which so easily entangles you, and to run the race faithfully. I have not brought you this far down the race to quit. You are not a quitter but an OVERCOMER. Run with your focus and vision on Me, and you will not be disappointed for you shall be found on the Rock.

EXPECT

I have promised that all your needs shall be met,
and that I will not turn a deaf ear to your cries,
when you call I will hear and answer.
I want you to start expecting to receive an answer.
Expect to hear my voice, expect to be blessed.
Why do you pray and don’t get ready to be blessed?
You pray without expectation.
My promises are true.

I need you to trust Me.  Let me Lead and guide you.
I long to whisper words of love and affection in your ear.
I promised that I wouldn’t leave you comfortless.
You must believe that what you have asked for will come to past.

Trust in Me, don’t be moved by what you see,
and don’t be moved by what you feel.
Be confident that I have risen in your midst to bring healing, to bring salvation,
to bring victory and council to those in need.
Even now I am interceding for you and My Father always heareth My prayers.
I expect you to pray to Me, you must expect to receive your blessings.

Know that I have heard your prayers and I am bringing all that you ask to past.
I am bringing about a complete change in your life.
Trust in Me and believe that I am faithful to do those things that I have promised to do.
Expect Me to bring the natural in alignment with the spiritual.
I am the God of Abraham, of Moses, of Isaac, is there anything too hard for Me?

Expect to be blessed
