And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head,
who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head,
guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.
And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed:
and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom;
for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him,
and did as the Lord commanded Moses.
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.
Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense;

And Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the

which gave testimony unto the word of his grace,
and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars,
perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right
hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

I will therefore that men pray every where,
lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
